CUGH is now accepting applications for Small Global Health Education Grants

The late Dr. Tom Hall, a global health leader and one of CUGH's greatest supporters, generously provided a gift to support small global health education grants. Dr. Hall sadly passed away May 20, 2017, but his legacy of giving lives on. We are extremely grateful for Tom's support of CUGH. We miss him and his gracious presence.

CUGH members are invited to apply for either small grants (under $5,000) or for larger grants (up to $10,000). The deadline for the second round of grant proposals is August 20, 2017.

Webinar: Global Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Disease knows no borders. CDC's global activities protect Americans from major health threats such as Ebola, Zika, and pandemic influenza and adverse economic impact. CDC detects and controls outbreaks at their source, saving lives and reducing healthcare costs. As importantly, CDC helps other countries build capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to health threats through its work. The knowledge and lessons learned from CDC's work abroad are critical to our public health efforts at home, and to protecting Americans.

Dr. Hamid Jafari, CDC Center for Global Health Principal Deputy Director, walks us through the structure and activities of CDC's global health center in the United States and abroad.
